On April 1, 2025, the Medical Assistance Transportation Program will be administered by CamTran and Rabbit Transit. You will be receiving a welcome letter and informational package by mail. Medical Assistance Transportation
MATP provides transportation to a wide range of medical services covered by Medical Assistance (MA). Eligible transportation includes trips to:
- Physicians, dentists, and health clinics
- Podiatrists and rural health clinics
- Hospice programs and physical therapy
- Outpatient services, pharmacies, and dialysis clinics
- Drug and alcohol treatment centers
- Mental health centers and outpatient rehab services
- Optometrists, psychologists, and ambulatory surgical centers
Services Not Covered
MATP does not cover:
- Emergency transportation requiring an ambulance
- Transportation to sheltered workshops or daycare programs
- Rides for visitation purposes
- Stretcher or door-through-door services
- Non-medical transportation
- Travel during unsafe weather conditions
- Transportation to medical services not covered by the MA program
